I love the vertical float and the solid construction. This is my second Superior pump. I still use the first one outside and will probably buy a third as a back up for the basement.

Superior pump may be superior, but I wouldn't know. I'm not mechanical, when I buy a sump pump, I assume I am being sold what I need to make it run. Nope!
You need a hose kit and you need to know what size hose kit, because, at the bottom of the 1.5" output model (this one) they had their "People have also bought list containing a 1.25" hose kit.
Since the description didn't say you needed it, I didn't buy any, paid for one day shipping and got to use my sump pump as a door stop until I can get a hose kit.
I've seen a commom criticism of Amazon before, but until now, had not run into it. Amazon does not include "required parts/attachments/kits, etc. in their descriptions. Now, in this case, it may not be entirely their fault, because I called the company and the guy I got, after asking for the model #, still didn't know what size hose kit I needed, until I measured the hole. And their company doesn't sell hose kits !! So folks, the pump may be a 5 star pump, but the experience was a 1 star nightmare, that's why I split the difference and gave it 3 stars. If I'm sane when I get this set up and running, I'll re-review.

When our old Little Giant cast iron sump pump died recently, I did my research and settled on the Superior 92341, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
Superior is a Minnesota-based company who also sells their products at Menards under the name "Barracuda." I know this because I contacted the company directly since I wanted to buy the product locally (if possible) in case I needed/wanted to return it.
After getting the pump home, I immediately read the easy-to-follow instructions and had it going in no time at all. I'm not handy in the least, which is why I was very thankful for the Superior Pump website and it's wealth visuals and information. Their website proved to be the best of any pump company for learning about the pumps and comparing different models.
After I was sure I had everything connected and plugged in correctly, I poured a few buckets of water in the sump and waited... Wow! Strange as it sounds, It was actually kind of fun seeing it work so well, a real load of my mind. Granted, I'm no sump pump expert by any means, but ultimately my decision to purchase the 92341 came down to the following factors:
- Powerful, yet QUIET performance (46 GPM)
- Cast iron construction w/ stainless steel impeller
- Pump and Switch are tested and built to last
- 3-Year Warranty
- Made Locally in Roseville, MN (USA)

I read a ton of reviews and considered lots of pumps, but for performance, quality and price, this pump is clearly Superior.

We've had quite a few 2-3 day rains, with totals of 2" or more and the sump pump is still working like a champ!
