The projector was working perfectly when I first got it. The picture was clear and the image was bright(with the lights off). But two months in two scratches randomly appeared along with two white dots. Later there were more of them. In fact every time I turn it on there are more and more white AND black dots. NOT WORTH IT!!!! Spend the extra money and get a decent projector that will last more than two months.

I bought this projector about a month ago for use playing movies outside. I am not big into a/v stuff so just wanted something that looked good and worked reliably. I am very, very happy with this projector! The picture is crisp, color is accurate, and it is bright enough. It does look best in a dark environment, but I have used it outside with street lights, etc. interfering, or inside with a desk lamp on nearby, and the image was still very watchable. For audio, I just connect a set of external speakers to my laptop and then connect the projector to my computer. This suits my needs perfectly for something to occasionally pull out at parties or barbecues.

This is a great little projector, especially for the price. I've found that movies, even downscaled HD films, look just fine on this thing despite the 854x480 native resolution. It's also great for displaying music visualisations, such as Milkdrop if you want to turn down the lights and create a personal dance club atmosphere in your home. I haven't gotten around to trying any games on it yet, though I imagine many of them would probably produce an acceptable experience. Small text and UI elements do tend to be difficult to make out and it's not really ideal for reading or doing work on.
Since this projector only outputs 40 lumens (which is still good for an LED projector), I've put up extra curtains so that I can block out light during the daytime. In a lit room the picture looks faded but in dim to dark conditions it looks quite good, so I recommend using this with the lights low or off and either at night or with thick drapes drawn. For the screen, I picked up a $7 white vinyl pull shade from Lowes, cut it to size and stapled it to my wall (which works surprisingly well as a screen). Projecting directly on to a wall also worked, but if you have walls like mine that are slightly textured, you can see the texture in the projected image.
Overall, I'm very happy with this projector and I'm loving movies on my new large screen.
