We purchased OXO Tot Sprout Chair a few weeks ago. We were really excited about the purchase and although it was a splurge ($250 for a high chair is not cheap!) we thought we would get years of use out of it for our first baby and hopefully for any future babies. Unfortunately, I dont think this will be the case. The tray of the chair is already discolored!! I could not believe it. I ALWAYS wash the tray immediately after a feeding with hot, soapy water (as instructed by manufacturer). My little guy just started solids, he only eats twice a day and I spoon feed him (not as messy as if he were feeding himself). This means the chair has literally been used less than 25 times! It's absolutely ridiculous that the tray is discolored already and wasn't able to hold up to two weeks of use! This is obviously some sort of defect with the tray. I have contacted the manufacturer and will update my review once I receive more information from them. I would hope they would replace the tray. I would be very hesitant to spend this kind of money on a high chair that is such terrible quality. I regret my purchase and wish I would have bought the Stokke Tripp Trapp.

I have been searching for the perfect high chair for 10 years. I refuse to have one of those huge, ugly, plastic high chairs in my home. They are an eyesore, and with all the padding, impossible to keep clean. I have been using a vintage wood chair that I purchased in an antique store. Love the look, but the parents didn't like the functionality, or lack thereof. I considered all high chairs on the market, but drew the line at $250.00. Some had great features, some had drawbacks. No one chair was perfect. I am so glad that I waited. OXO has done it. It is perfect in every way. Love the style, the colors, the tray, the seat, it even adjusts. For the little ones, I just slip a small pillow behind the back and that brings the child closer to the tray. Simple, safe solution. The perfect chair, and well worth the price.
