I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother, who is a big fan of Fiesta products as well as cobalt blue. It was a big hit! We used it for Christmas dinner and it worked out beautifully. I was a little nervous that perhaps the eggs would be difficult to get out, but my concern was an unwarranted one - they slid out easily and without making a mess. This really is a beautiful way to set out your eggs, I highly recommend getting one if you like to make deviled eggs or if you have a Fiesta lover in the family.

This tray holds a dozen deviled eggs and adds a special touch to the dinner table. It's so attractive that it needs to be displayed when not in use. I'd love to have a second one in another color, because I find myself hopping up in the middle of dinner to refill it. If you're going for function, it's probably easier to serve your deviled eggs on a smooth tray, but if presentation is important to you, this is for you. As always, the peacock color is bright yet soothing.

This is the second version of the egg tray which Homer Laughlin China just added to the Fiesta line. It is a smaller, much more functional egg plate compared yo its predecessor- the 13" egg plate (now discontinued). This is a much easier plate to hold and to store. The eggs fit perfectly into the slots and its an overall more pleasing presentation. Don't want to wash it by hand? Just pop it in the dishwasher. This smaller size fits in with the plates (unlike the awkward, clunky discontinued version). This is highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly durable, colorful and functional egg plate. Its made of vitrified china so you don't need to worry about it getting dinged at your next get together. Its tough stuff! Highly recommended!
