Every citizen can enforce fine-Reduction

Luxembourg - Europe able to force the authorities continue to reduce the particulate matter on busy roads. Every citizen can thus achieve a plan of action - if the limits are exceeded too often.
That's what the European Court in Luxembourg ruled on Friday in a landmark ruling.
A Munich had complained because he lives in the city of Munich on heavily polluting ring.
The Bavarian authorities now have to draw on his own request, an action plan to reduce the excess of the limits "to a minimum".
The fine dust particles due to their small size can penetrate deep into the body and cause high concentrations of allergies, asthma and cancer.
Under the rules, the limits may be exceeded only 35 times a year. At the residence of the applicant at the Munich ring the limits were 2005 and 2006, far more likely to be exceeded.
